Shola Ama & Christopher Ellis - Puppy Love Remix (A Curtis Lynch Production)

Recognised as one of the UK's leading Reggae producers, Curtis Lynch already has quite an extensive list of musical achievements under his belt. Being the main producer and founder of the Necessary Mayhem record label which was founded in London back in 2006, Curtis is consistently working hard to build on his catalogue of hits.

The following track on his 'Ooh Baby Riddim' often leaves me lost for words as we see the product of UK talents Shola Ama and Christopher Ellis coming together to let us in on the secrets of their 'Puppy Love.' Not only is this a purely UK production, but a track which possesses the sweet Reggae sounds that we all know and love. Chinese Assassin DJ's Present Stylo G - Call Mi A Yardie Reloaded (Mixtape)

It's hard to believe that it was over a year ago since Stylo G brought us the 'Call Mi A Yardie' mixtape presented by 1xtra's Robbo Ranx. Since then Stylo G has continued to go from strength to strength and is now back with another mixtape entitled 'Call Me A Yardie Reloaded,' presented by Chinese Assassin DJ's. This is another free download featuring over 40 tracks and entails some of his most recent hits alongside a number of exclusives that are yet to be heard by the public.

Regardless of whether you want to download the mixtape or simply have a listen to it, all you need to do is click here.

Gappy Ranks' Official North West Street Party 2012

Even if you weren't particularly interested in celebrating the Queen's Jubilee, there was almost no way of getting away from the substantial number of events occurring over the Bank Holiday weekend at the beginning of June. With no work for the majority of us on both the Monday and Tuesday, there wasn't much reason for us not to take advantage.

On the Bank Holiday Monday, 4th June, I found myself travelling down to the second instalment of Gappy Ranks' Official North West Street Party on Oldfield Road in North West London. Living up to it's expectations this Diamond Jubilee Event was a day packed full of entertainment for the whole family with a bouncy castle and face painting for the children, competitions and give aways, and food and refreshments on sale all day. As if this wasn't enough, there was also a showcase of live performances from some of the UK's hottest talents alongside some of the UK's most reputable sound systems and DJ's. This entailed the likes of Gappy Ranks, Christopher Ellis, Future Kidd, Silver Star, Seani B and Bugzy Sound just to name a few.

Whilst the turn out and the music were great, and the good vibes were in abundance, the most refreshing part of the event for me was to see so many people from so many different walks of life congregate together, listen to good music and just enjoy themselves! Now if you did so happen to miss out on all of the fun for one reason or another, or you simply want to relive some of the performances from this event, you can stream and download some of the performances and live recordings here. So Gappy, same time next year?

Peace, Love & Reggae Music x
